Woman and Lover Arrested for Allegedly Strangling Husband in Greater Noida
In a shocking incident in Greater Noida, a 29-year-old woman and her lover have been arrested for allegedly strangling her husband to death. The crime occurred in Surajpur, with police recovering the murder weapon, a scarf, from the accused.
Discovery of the Crime
On Monday evening, police received information about a suspicious death in a room in Deola village, Surajpur. The accused, identified as Rakhi, initially told her neighbor that her husband, Vijay (30), had died suddenly from stomach aches. The neighbor promptly called emergency services, leading to a police team being dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, officers examined the body and noticed marks on the neck. An autopsy was conducted, which confirmed strangulation as the cause of death. Following this, an FIR was registered under BNS Section 103 (1) for murder.
Investigation and Motive
Investigation revealed that Rakhi had been in a relationship with a man named Gurdeep (31) for the past four years. A year ago, Rakhi left her husband to live with Gurdeep, but Vijay reportedly became a hindrance to their relationship, as stated by Rakhi to the police.
Around 15 days ago, Rakhi invited Gurdeep to stay with her at her residence in Deola. On Monday, the duo allegedly strangled Vijay with a scarf. After the crime, Gurdeep fled the scene, while Rakhi misled her neighbor by claiming her husband had succumbed to stomach pain. Both were subsequently arrested by the police.
Family Details
Police disclosed that the couple had three children, all under 13 years of age. The children currently reside with their grandparents in Belon village, highlighting the tragic impact of the incident on the family.
This case underscores the grim realities of domestic disputes and criminal acts in urban areas, with authorities continuing to investigate further details.
