The victim, a receptionist with a realty firm, was returning from an event with a friend when the attack occurred near the Leopard Trail.

According to police reports, the woman and her friend had stopped near Leopard Trail after purchasing food from a roadside stall around 3 AM. While taking a stroll in the area, a youth approached them and snatched the woman's mobile phone before running toward the hills. When she chased after him to retrieve her phone, the accused allegedly grabbed her and dragged her into the hilly terrain where he sexually assaulted her.
Her friend attempted to intervene but was reportedly scared away by the assailant. The friend immediately contacted the police, prompting a swift response from officers from three nearby police stations who reached the spot promptly.
Police Action and Arrest
Law enforcement officials took the accused, identified as 25-year-old Gaurav Bhati, into custody at the scene. The victim, who hails from Sirsa and resides in a paying guest facility in Gurgaon, was transported to Civil Hospital for a comprehensive medical examination. Police have confirmed that her condition is currently stable.
