A tragic road accident in Jaipur's Harmada area claimed the lives of a woman and her son on Tuesday morning. The incident occurred near Neendar Mod when a speeding trailer allegedly struck their motorcycle from behind.
Victims identified
The deceased have been identified as Sangeeta (40) and her son Krish (18), residents of Mansa Mata Nagar in Harmada. According to police, Krish was riding the motorcycle while Sangeeta was seated as a pillion rider.
Details of the collision
The accident took place around 9 am when a cement-laden trailer was traveling from Chomu towards Jaipur. The trailer collided with the motorcycle from behind, throwing both riders onto the road. The impact caused fatal injuries, and both died on the spot.
After the collision, the trailer driver allegedly abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene. Police have seized the trailer and launched a search operation to trace the driver.
Post-mortem and investigation
The bodies were shifted to Kanwatia Hospital mortuary for post-mortem examination. Police are investigating the case and efforts are underway to apprehend the driver.
