Prayagraj: A tragic incident occurred in Goghpur village under the Mahevaghat police station limits of Kaushambi, where a 45-year-old woman was allegedly strangled by her husband following a heated argument.
Incident Details
The altercation took place on Monday evening between the couple, identified as Shiv Bhola and Maya Devi. According to initial investigations, Shiv Bhola allegedly killed his wife Maya Devi by strangulation and then fled the scene.
Police Response
Upon receiving information about the incident, senior police officials, including the Kaushambi Superintendent of Police, rushed to the spot and initiated an investigation. The body of the deceased has been sent for a postmortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.
Search for Accused
Three police teams have been constituted to apprehend the accused, Shiv Bhola, who is currently absconding. The police are conducting raids at possible hideouts and are hopeful of an early arrest.
