Discovery and Immediate Response
The sequence of events began when a vigilant passerby noticed a suspicious object in the drainage channel alongside Airport Road near H-Block. The individual promptly alerted the police by dialing the emergency number 112. Acting swiftly on the tip, a team from the Zirakpur police reached the spot and retrieved the body from the drain.
Soon after the news circulated, a substantial crowd gathered at the location. Police and forensic teams were dispatched to the scene to begin their preliminary work and evidence collection.

Initial findings suggest the body is around two days old. It has been kept in the Dera Bassi hospital mortuary for 72 hours for identification.
