A man allegedly operating a private clinic without proper authorization has been charged with rape in Yamunanagar district after a woman accused him of sexually assaulting her while pretending to administer an injection. The incident occurred at a clinic in a village under the Chhachhrauli police station area.
Police Case Filed
Based on the complaint lodged by the victim, a resident of a colony in Chhachhrauli town, the police registered a case against the accused, identified as Shameem, on June 4. The charges were filed under Sections 115, 351(2), and 64(2)(e) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at the Chhachhrauli police station.
Victim's Account
The woman told the police that she had gone to the clinic with her husband to seek medical treatment. While her husband briefly left for a nearby village for work, the accused called her into a makeshift cabin inside the clinic, claiming he needed to give her an injection.
According to the victim, the accused took her behind a curtain, made her lie down on a bench or bed, and raped her despite her resistance. She said she tried to fight back, but the accused continued the assault.
Confrontation and Threats
The situation escalated when the woman's husband returned to the clinic and allegedly found the accused and his wife together. He immediately objected, leading to a physical fight between the husband and the accused. The victim further alleged that the accused threatened both her and her husband with severe consequences if they reported the incident to anyone.
Investigating officer Ved Pal confirmed that a case has been registered and efforts are underway to arrest the accused. The police are continuing their investigation into the matter.
