A young advocate died of a suspected cardiac arrest at the court complex in Gangavathi on Wednesday. The deceased was identified as Kanakesh, 26, a resident of Chikka Madinal village in Kanakagiri taluk. He had recently started practicing at the Gangavathi court.
Incident Details
According to sources, Kanakesh attended a farewell programme organised for the first additional district and sessions judge, Sadananda Nagappa Nayak. After having lunch at the event, he came out near the canteen inside the court premises and was speaking with friends when he suddenly collapsed and lost consciousness.
Immediate Response
Fellow advocates and friends immediately shifted him to a private hospital. However, he died without responding to treatment, sources said. Judges and advocates visited the hospital and paid their condolences following the incident.
The sudden demise of the young lawyer has left the legal fraternity in shock. Many of his colleagues remembered him as a dedicated and promising advocate. The exact cause of death is yet to be confirmed, but preliminary reports suggest a cardiac arrest.
