Youth Shot in Ballia Over Old Dispute While Returning from Wedding
In a disturbing incident in Ballia district, a youth was shot by miscreants in the Haldi area on Monday night while he was returning home from a wedding ceremony. The victim, identified as Ayush Singh from Bharsauta village under Haldi police station, was targeted by his rivals due to an old dispute that had been simmering for some time.
Immediate Police Response and Medical Emergency
Upon receiving an alert about a person injured in firing near Bharsauta village, police swiftly responded and rushed Singh to the district hospital. However, due to the severity of his injuries, doctors at the hospital referred him to the BHU trauma centre in Varanasi for advanced medical care. This quick action was crucial in stabilizing his condition and ensuring he received the necessary treatment.
Ballia ASP (South) Kripa Shankar confirmed the details of the incident, stating that the shooting occurred late on Monday night. Singh, who was conscious after the attack, managed to name his assailants to the police, providing vital leads for the investigation.
