Youth Stabbed to Death in Sirsa Over Love Affair, Two Held

A 22-year-old man was allegedly stabbed to death in Sirsa, Haryana, following a dispute linked to a love affair. The police arrested two accused persons within hours of the incident.

Victim and Incident Details

The victim, Sandeep Kumar, was a resident of Sanjay Colony, Ward No 29, Sirsa. According to the complaint lodged by his family, Sandeep was in a relationship with a young woman and remained in regular contact with her. Family members alleged that the woman's relatives were aware of the relationship and called Sandeep to meet them on Tuesday night.

The family claimed that around 10 pm, Sandeep was attacked with a knife near Durga Mata temple chowk. He sustained serious injuries to his back, abdomen, and hands and was rushed to a private hospital, where he died on Wednesday morning.

Police Action and Arrests

Following the complaint, the police registered a case of murder and launched an investigation. During the investigation, the police arrested Himanshu alias Kaku, a resident of the Mela Ground area, and his cousin Jatin, a resident of the Lakki Talab locality.

The police said the accused were being questioned and would be produced before a court for remand. Investigators are also working to recover the weapon used in the crime and ascertain the exact sequence of events leading to the attack.

The body was handed over to the family after a post-mortem examination.
