10-Year-Old Boy Dies in Tractor Trolley Accident in Jamnagar

A tragic accident on Sunday claimed the life of a 10-year-old boy at a farm in Sidsar village of Jamjodhpur taluka in Jamnagar district. The incident occurred around noon at Mohan Kachhadiya's farm.

Details of the Incident

According to a complaint filed with Jamjodhpur police, Het Shankhariya was run over by a tractor trolley while playing nearby. Het's uncle, Jitendra Shankhariya, who lodged the complaint, said they had gone to Navneet Kachhadiya's farm for onion-loading work. After the trolley was loaded, the driver was asked to move the vehicle. However, the accused, Sahid Mesi, allegedly drove the tractor forward carelessly without checking the surroundings, leading to the trolley running over the child.

Injuries and Medical Response

Het sustained severe injuries and was rushed to Jamjodhpur Government Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. The boy was the only son of his parents and the eldest among three siblings.

Legal Action

Police have registered a case against Mesi under Sections 106(1) and 281 of the BNS, along with relevant provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act. A preliminary investigation is underway.
