Uttarakhand CM Dhami Commends Modi Government's 12-Year Journey
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Saturday lauded the Narendra Modi-led central government for completing 12 years in power, asserting that India has entered a new era of development and progress under the Prime Minister's visionary leadership.
Transformative Governance Recognized
Speaking at an event in Dehradun, Dhami highlighted the significant achievements of the Modi government since it assumed office in 2014. He emphasized that the past 12 years have been marked by transformative policies, infrastructure growth, and a renewed sense of national pride.
"India has witnessed unprecedented changes across all sectors. From digital transformation to infrastructural development, the Modi government has laid a strong foundation for a prosperous future," Dhami stated.
Key Achievements Highlighted
The Chief Minister listed several flagship schemes and initiatives that have reshaped the country's landscape. He pointed to the success of programs like Ayushman Bharat, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, and the Swachh Bharat Mission, which have improved the lives of millions.
- Ayushman Bharat: Providing health coverage to over 50 crore beneficiaries.
- PM Kisan Samman Nidhi: Direct income support to farmers.
- Swachh Bharat Mission: Achieving near-universal sanitation coverage.
National Security and Foreign Policy
Dhami also praised the government's handling of national security, citing the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir and the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya as landmark decisions. He noted that India's stature on the global stage has risen significantly under Modi's leadership.
"The world now looks at India with respect. Our foreign policy has been assertive yet balanced, ensuring national interests are always prioritized," he added.
Economic Growth and Digital India
The Chief Minister underscored the government's focus on economic reforms and digital empowerment. Initiatives like Digital India and Make in India have boosted entrepreneurship and innovation, while the Goods and Services Tax (GST) streamlined the tax system.
Looking Ahead
Dhami expressed confidence that the Modi government will continue to drive India towards becoming a $5 trillion economy and a global manufacturing hub. He urged citizens to support the government's vision for a self-reliant India.
"The next decade will be even more promising. With the Prime Minister's guidance, we will achieve new milestones in every field," he concluded.
