Victim Identification

The deceased has been identified as Sukhwinder Singh, also known as Sarwan, a resident of Shehzada village under the Ramdass police station. He had left his home on Wednesday evening to purchase goods from the Ajnala area but failed to return by the following morning.

Family members initiated a search when Sukhwinder did not come back. They reached the Ajnala-Jagdev Kalan road area, where they learned that an unidentified body had been found in the fields owned by Mukhtiar Singh of Lakhuwal village. Upon arriving at the scene, the family identified the body as Sukhwinder Singh.

The complainant, Virsa Singh of Saidpur Khurd village, a relative of the deceased, stated that the victim had sustained multiple severe injuries to his neck, jaw, and face. The nature of the wounds indicated that a sharp-edged weapon may have been used in the attack. Additionally, Sukhwinder's motorcycle (registration number PB17-B-9651) was discovered lying a short distance from the body.
