Akhilesh Yadav: PDA Community to Defeat BJP, Alleges Discrimination

SP Leader Akhilesh Yadav Predicts PDA Community Will Overthrow BJP Government

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has declared that the PDA community—comprising Pichde (Backward classes), Dalits, and Alpsankhyaks (Minorities)—is poised to defeat the Bharatiya Janata Party in future elections. Speaking at a press conference in Jaipur on Saturday, Yadav accused the BJP of engaging in rampant discrimination and expressed confidence that the growing unity among these groups will empower the SP to dislodge the current government.

Vision India Event Focuses on Social Harmony and PDA Consolidation

Yadav was in Jaipur to lead the latest installment of Vision India – Plan, Develop & Ascent, a series of events where he engages with experts to address sectoral needs. The Jaipur edition featured a daylong Harmonious Heritage Summit, emphasizing the strengthening of social bonds and bridging gaps between communities, castes, and classes. This approach aligns with the SP's strategic push for PDA consolidation, a term coined during the 2024 Lok Sabha polls that helped the party secure an unprecedented 37 seats by uniting backward classes, Dalits, and minorities.

Allegations of Heritage Site Targeting and Support for Religious Leader

Addressing concerns over heritage sites, Yadav cited the demolition at Manikarnika Ghat in Varanasi, where idols of deities and statues of historical figures like Ahilyabai Holkar were damaged, alleging BJP government involvement. He also reiterated his support for Swami Avimukteshwaranand, who recently received anticipatory bail from the Allahabad High Court in a Pocso case. Yadav condemned what he called "fake saints" challenging respected Shankaracharyas and vowed to continue standing with the swami.

Criticism of Election Commission and Voter List Irregularities

Yadav launched a sharp critique against the Election Commission, labeling it biased and accusing it of acting at the BJP's behest. He detailed a conspiracy by the BJP to commit major irregularities during the SIR, including forging signatures on Form 7 to delete names from voter lists. Despite SP's PDA Praharis exposing these issues, Yadav claimed district magistrates failed to investigate the forgeries, instead focusing on how the SP uncovered the irregularities. In response, SP volunteers are now screening new voter lists at booth levels to identify anomalies.

Highlighting SP's Development Achievements and Commitment

Emphasizing the SP's legacy, Yadav pointed to developmental milestones such as the construction of the world-class Lucknow-Agra Expressway and the distribution of 20 lakh laptops to students during SP governance. He affirmed that the party has always prioritized development, peace, and social harmony, and remains committed to these principles. Yadav's statements underscore the SP's ongoing efforts to rally the PDA community against perceived injustices and electoral malpractices.
