Recently, he had pledged an annual assistance of Rs 40,000 to underprivileged women in the state under a revived and expanded pension scheme, contingent upon the party winning the 2027 assembly elections.
The promised amount will be disbursed to women through the Nari Samriddhi Samman Yojana or the Samajwadi Pension Scheme. Party sources have claimed that the funds needed for this ambitious welfare scheme are manageable and can be sourced from the already established revenue streams available with the state government.
