BJP leader Radha Mohan Das Agrawal on Saturday stated that the exit of party functionary Annamalai was a personal decision and that the BJP remains focused on its long-term national goals. Responding to queries about a possible change in the Karnataka BJP leadership, Agrawal said the final decision would be taken by the party’s national president.
Personal Decision, Not Organizational Shift
Speaking to reporters, Agrawal clarified that Annamalai’s departure should not be interpreted as a sign of internal discord. “This is a personal decision by Annamalai. The BJP is united and working towards strengthening the nation under the leadership of our prime minister,” he said.
Focus on Long-Term Vision
Agrawal emphasized that the party’s primary focus remains on achieving long-term national objectives. “Our goal is to build a strong and prosperous India. Individual decisions do not affect our collective mission,” he added.
Karnataka Leadership Speculation
When asked about speculation regarding a change in the Karnataka BJP leadership, Agrawal stated that the party’s national president would take the final call. “The national president will decide on any leadership changes in Karnataka at an appropriate time. We have full faith in his judgment,” he said.
The remarks come amid ongoing discussions within the BJP about organizational adjustments in Karnataka, a key state for the party’s electoral ambitions. Agrawal’s comments aim to reassure party workers and supporters of stability and continuity.
