Anurag Thakur asks BJP workers to highlight Centre's achievements

Former Union Minister Anurag Thakur on Wednesday urged BJP workers to ensure that every household is aware of the Central Government's achievements under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership. Speaking at the inaugural session of a two-day district-level BJP training campaign in Barsar, near Hamirpur, Thakur highlighted the government's accomplishments over the past 12 years in public welfare, good governance, and development.

Key Achievements Highlighted

Thakur noted that under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, over four crore families have received pucca houses. Through the Jal Jeevan Mission, drinking water connections have been provided to 15 crore rural families. Additionally, financial assistance under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi has been extended to more than 11 crore farmers.

India's Startup Ecosystem

Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Sikander Kumar emphasized India's emergence as the world's third-largest startup ecosystem, with over 100 unicorn startups developed in the last 12 years. He also pointed to unprecedented expansion in IITs, IIMs, AIIMS, medical colleges, universities, and medical seats, providing youth with quality education and better opportunities.

Development in Himachal Pradesh

Dr. Kumar added that the Union Government has given historic gifts to Himachal Pradesh, including AIIMS-Bilaspur, a PGI satellite centre in Una, national highway and four-lane projects, rural road networks, digital connectivity, and advancements in health and education sectors.

The event was attended by MLAs Inder Dutt Lakhanpal (Barsar) and Ashish Sharma (Hamirpur), as well as former MLAs Rajendra Rana, Kamlesh Kumari, Dr. Anil Dhiman, and Vijay Agnihotri.
