Dilip Saikia emphasized several crucial budgetary allocations specifically designed for the northeastern region. He pointed out that the budget includes:

  • Rs 800 crore dedicated to forest conservation initiatives
  • Rs 400 crore allocated to promote indigenous cultural festivals
  • Rs 300 crore for tourism development projects
  • An additional Rs 1,000 crore earmarked specifically for the Brahmaputra basin
