B K Hariprasad, the newly appointed President of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC), held his first meeting with Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, in New Delhi on Thursday. The meeting marked a significant step in the state Congress leadership's engagement with the central party leadership.

Taking to social media platform X, Hariprasad shared details of the meeting. 'After appointing as KPCC President, I met Shri @RahulGandhi, the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, in New Delhi and expressed my gratitude,' he posted. He further stated that the two leaders had a detailed discussion on party organization and strategies for the upcoming challenges in Karnataka.
Focus on Party Strengthening
The meeting, which lasted for over an hour, focused on strengthening the party's grassroots presence and preparing for future electoral battles. Hariprasad, who took over the reins of the Karnataka Congress at a crucial time, emphasized the need for unity and effective coordination between the state and central units of the party.
Rahul Gandhi, according to sources, advised Hariprasad to focus on connecting with workers and addressing local issues to regain the party's lost ground in the state. The Congress has been working to revive its organization in Karnataka after recent electoral setbacks.
