A tragic incident occurred at Sawai Man Singh (SMS) Hospital in Jaipur on Saturday, where a 40-year-old man lost his life and another person sustained injuries after a portion of a balcony collapsed. The deceased has been identified as Sagar, a resident of Kekri. The injured individual, Babulal, also from Kekri, received first aid and was subsequently discharged from the hospital.

The collapse took place around 3 PM near the old Shushrut auditorium, which is situated beside the Charak Bhawan complex within the hospital premises. A section of the balcony suddenly gave way, sending debris crashing down on the two men who were resting in the shade below. Both individuals were trapped under the rubble and had to be rescued by bystanders who were present at the scene.
