RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat Honors Ram Temple Martyrs in Ayodhya Ceremony
Bhagwat: Ram Temple Martyrs' Souls at Peace Now

In a historic ceremony that marked the formal completion of the Ram Temple construction in Ayodhya, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat delivered an emotional tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for the temple movement, stating their souls would finally be at peace.

Day of Mindfulness and Reflection

The significant event took place on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi joining Bhagwat for the 'Dhwajarohan' ceremony at the sacred site. Bhagwat characterized the momentous occasion as "Sarthakta ka Diwas" or "Day of Mindfulness", reflecting on the long journey that led to this pivotal moment in Indian history.

During his address, the RSS leader expressed profound emotions, stating: "So many people saw the dream, so many people made attempts, so many people lost their lives — today, their souls would have been at peace." He emphasized that the magnificent temple standing today has exceeded the vision of those who initially dreamed of its construction.

A Temple Beyond Expectations

Bhagwat noted with pride that the completed structure matches and even surpasses the original vision shared by generations of devotees. "The temple has been built exactly as they had dreamed, and even more grandiose than imagined," he declared to the gathered attendees.

While acknowledging the lengthy timeline required to bring the project to fruition, Bhagwat highlighted the determination of the Hindu community in realizing their aspirations. "The Hindu community fulfilled its dreams, and the Ram Lalla temple was built," he stated, marking the culmination of a movement that spanned decades.

Vision for India's Global Role

Looking toward the future, the RSS chief outlined a broader mission emerging from the temple's completion. He articulated that the effort should now focus on transforming India into a nation that contributes meaningfully to the entire world.

The completion of the Ram Temple represents the beginning of a process to spread Dharma and knowledge globally, according to Bhagwat. He emphasized: "We must create an India that contributes to the entire world, and the Ram Mandir has fulfilled that journey today."

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who also participated in the ceremony, described the temple as representing the "faith, respect and pride of 140 crore people of the country." He extended gratitude to all individuals who contributed to making the temple a reality.

Adityanath specifically honored the "revered saints, warriors, and devotees of Shri Ram, who devoted their lives to this noble movement," dedicating the auspicious day to their memory and sacrifice.

The Chief Minister also connected the temple's completion to national development, noting that Prime Minister Modi's leadership since 2014 had instilled confidence among citizens. He characterized the saffron flag hoisted above the temple as not just a symbol of dharma but also representing the pledge for Viksit Bharat — a developed India.

"The Kesariya Dhwaja fluttering atop the Ram Mandir is a symbol of dharma, honour, truth, justice, and national duty; it represents the resolve of a Viksit India," Adityanath concluded, connecting the religious significance with national aspirations.
