Bihar Regiment's 5th Battalion Celebrates 64 Years of Service with Solemn Ceremony in Patna
The Bihar Regiment Centre (BRC) observed a significant milestone on Wednesday as it marked the 64th Raising Day of its esteemed 5th battalion. The 5th battalion of the Bihar Regiment has a storied history that began on January 28, 1963. It was raised under the distinguished stewardship of Colonel Jarnail Sant Singh, who served as the Colonel of the regiment during its formative years. Shortly after its establishment, Lieutenant Colonel J S Ghariaya assumed command of the battalion on August 9, 1963, setting the stage for decades of dedicated service and leadership.

Over the past six decades, the battalion has earned a distinguished reputation for its exemplary service and unwavering professionalism. According to Brigadier Rakesh Kumar Bohra, the battalion has actively participated in several major military operations that have shaped India's defense landscape.
