BJP chief Nabin urges leaders to intensify public outreach in J&K

BJP national president Nitin Nabin on Tuesday called upon party leaders in Jammu and Kashmir to intensify public outreach and effectively communicate the policies and achievements of the central government to the people. Addressing a meeting at the party headquarters in Jammu, Nabin stressed that the BJP's greatest strength lies in its disciplined organisation and dedicated cadre.

Focus on grassroots engagement

Nabin urged leaders to connect with people at the grassroots level, especially in remote and rural areas, to ensure that the benefits of central schemes reach every citizen. He highlighted the importance of regular interactions with local communities to address their concerns and build trust in the government's initiatives.

The BJP president also underscored the need for party workers to be well-versed with government policies and programmes so they can effectively counter misinformation and present the government's achievements accurately. He said that public outreach should not be limited to election campaigns but must be a continuous process.

Organisational roadmap for J&K

During the meeting, Nabin discussed the organisational roadmap for strengthening the party's presence in Jammu and Kashmir. He emphasised the importance of booth-level committees and regular training programmes for party workers. He also called for increased participation of women and youth in party activities.

Senior party leaders, including J&K BJP president Tarun Chugh, were present at the meeting. Chugh echoed Nabin's call for enhanced outreach and assured that the party would implement the directives at all levels.

Mann Ki Baat and government communication

Nabin specifically mentioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Mann Ki Baat' programme as a key tool for connecting with citizens. He urged leaders to organise listening sessions and discussions around the programme in their respective areas to amplify its impact.

He also stressed the importance of using digital platforms and social media to reach a wider audience, especially the younger generation. Party workers were encouraged to share success stories of government schemes through videos and testimonials.

Political significance

The meeting comes amid ongoing political activities in Jammu and Kashmir, where the BJP is working to expand its base. The region is seen as crucial for the party's national strategy, and the leadership's focus on outreach reflects its commitment to winning the trust of the people.

Nabin's visit to Jammu and his directives are expected to energise party workers and set the tone for upcoming organisational elections and future electoral contests in the union territory.
