BJP marks 12 years of NDA rule in Bhopal, hails Modi

Bhopal: Union minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Saturday said India has entered an era of “development, trust and self-confidence” under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as BJP leaders marked 12 years of the NDA government at a gathering in Bhopal.

Speaking at a “Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sammelan” at Kushabhau Thakre Auditorium, alongside Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and BJP state president Hemant Khandelwal, Pradhan said government schemes had reached the “last person in the queue” without discrimination. He pointed to gains in infrastructure, digital governance and higher education, arguing that political stability and transparent administration had strengthened India’s global standing.

Yadav, however, took centre stage with a strong pitch around national security, cultural resurgence and India’s growing global stature under Modi’s leadership. Referring to surgical strikes, air strikes and “Operation Sindoor”, Yadav said India no longer compromised on national security and emerged as a confident global power capable of taking decisive action. He also cited the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, expansion of highways, metros and airports, and the push for digital connectivity as symbols of a “new India”. Targeting previous Congress governments, Yadav alleged that before 2014 the country was marked by “political instability, indecisiveness and corruption”, but since then witnessed a transformation in governance and public confidence.

Hemant Khandelwal said welfare schemes such as Ayushman Bharat and PM Awas Yojana changed the lives of crores of poor families, while Mahendra Singh said India’s global prestige and cultural identity strengthened significantly in the past decade.

The BJP leaders also participated in plantation drives under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign and attended programmes involving women entrepreneurs, self-help groups and artists across Bhopal.
