Jaipur: The national president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Nitin Nabin, is set to visit Rajasthan on April 27 for a series of party events. This will mark his first trip to the state since assuming the top post.
Inauguration of District Offices
On Thursday, state BJP president Madan Rathore announced that Nabin will inaugurate seven newly constructed district party offices across the state and lay the foundation stone for another office in Jalore. According to the scheduled programme, Nabin will travel to Tonk to personally inaugurate the district BJP office, while the remaining offices will be inaugurated virtually. After arriving in Jaipur, Nabin will proceed to Tonk, where he will not only inaugurate the office but also address party workers and the public.
Meetings and Strategy Sessions
During his visit, Nabin will meet key state leaders, including office-bearers and conveners of various party fronts and cells. He is also scheduled to chair a BJP core committee meeting, where discussions on organisational expansion and strategy will be held.
Responding to questions about a recent photograph featuring former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot together, Rathore dismissed it as a display of superficial unity. He claimed that such appearances only highlight underlying differences and are driven by political compulsion. "Circumstances are such that they are compelled to publicly display unity," he said.
