Patna: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will celebrate International Yoga Day on June 21 down to the block level to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 12 years in office, the party's state president, Sanjay Saraogi, said on Tuesday. "CM Samrat Choudhary will also attend the yoga camp in Patna," he added.
Saraogi reviewed the BJP's public outreach and organisational programmes being conducted from June 5 to 21 to mark the completion of 12 years of service, good governance and welfare of the poor under the leadership of PM Modi. BJP general secretary (organisation) Bhikhu Bhai Dalsania and other senior state office-bearers attended the meeting, where detailed discussions were held on taking yoga to the masses, strengthening the resolve for a healthy and developed India, and ensuring widespread public participation in Yoga Day events.
"People from various organisations, as well as schools, colleges and other educational institutions, will participate in the Yoga Day events. All party office-bearers will take part in yoga sessions organised at different locations," Saraogi said.
Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), led by its state president Jitendra Singh, organised extensive public outreach programmes in the Bankipur assembly constituency in Patna. Leaflets highlighting the Union government's achievements over the past 12 years were distributed to every household at the booth level.
