Following their arrest, both Chaudhary and Piyush were sent to jail. Chaudhary, a resident of Railwayganj in Kachhauna, also worked as a recovery agent in the same government department where Piyush was employed, adding a layer of complexity to the case.

The corruption case came to light after Seema Devi, a resident of Kachhauna, filed a formal complaint with the CBI. She alleged that she was asked to pay a bribe to secure a loan that had already been sanctioned. According to the complaint, Piyush, acting through Chaudhary as an intermediary, demanded Rs45,000 as a bribe to expedite the loan process. In response, the CBI laid a trap and caught Chaudhary red-handed while he was accepting the bribe money.

After Chaudhary's arrest, the CBI initiated legal proceedings against the accused and began searching for Piyush, who was subsequently arrested from Hardoi. The investigation is ongoing, with authorities examining all aspects of the alleged bribery scheme.
