CJP to Protest in Pune on June 11 Against Minister Pradhan

Abhijeet Dipke, the founder of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), announced on Monday that the party will hold a protest in Pune on June 11, demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged irregularities in examinations and recruitment tests.

Dipke made the announcement on social media platform X, posting: "Let's meet in Pune! Hail Maharashtra!" In another post shared by the CJP's official handle, the party said: "Cockroaches will demand Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation in Maharashtra's educational capital Pune. How many Pune cockroaches will join?"

Reacting to comparisons with recent youth-led protests in Nepal and Bangladesh, Dipke stated on Sunday that the CJP's movement is peaceful and should not be equated with demonstrations in neighbouring countries. He added that the organisation is meant exclusively for Gen Z and has no links with any political party.

Earlier, the CJP had also staged a protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on June 6, seeking the resignation of Pradhan over alleged paper leak and examination irregularities in the country.

Background of the Protests

The Cockroach Janata Party, a youth-led organisation, has been vocal about the need for accountability in the education system. The party claims that irregularities in examinations and recruitment tests have undermined the integrity of the system, affecting thousands of students across India. The protest in Pune is part of a series of demonstrations aimed at putting pressure on the government to take action.

Gen Z Movement

Dipke emphasised that the CJP is a movement by and for Generation Z, focusing on peaceful protests and constructive dialogue. He clarified that the party is not affiliated with any political party and operates independently to address issues concerning the youth.

The upcoming protest in Pune is expected to draw participation from students and young professionals who are concerned about the state of education in the country. The CJP has called upon citizens to join the demonstration and support their demand for the minister's resignation.
