Surat: Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel led the golden jubilee celebrations of the Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers & Chemicals (GNFC) on Tuesday, marking the occasion by inaugurating the Namo Vadvan-Miyawaki forest, an oxygen park, and the Narmada Nagar Community Science Centre in Narmada Nagar Township. The event was attended by top government officials, industrial leaders, and local farming representatives.

Speaking at the event, Patel credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi with transforming public sector undertakings (PSUs) into efficient, transparent, and profitable entities through a professional approach. He highlighted how modern administrative reforms have revived state enterprises across the country.

Describing GNFC’s five-decade journey as a “vital contribution to Gujarat’s development, agricultural prosperity, and India’s self-reliance”, the CM emphasized the company’s role in introducing sustainable practices to regional agriculture.
Empowering Women Through Neem Project
The CM also lauded GNFC’s highly successful neem project for its monumental role in economically empowering over 4.5 lakh women by generating local employment opportunities, thus fostering rural growth.
