CM Revanth Reddy Seeks Report on Poll Promises Implementation

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Monday directed planning department officials to prepare a report on the implementation of promises made in each assembly constituency during his tours and government programmes since taking office. The directive came during a review meeting of the Praja Palana–Pragati Pranalika programme, conducted statewide between March 16 and June 12.

Programme Brings Government Closer to People

The Chief Minister stated that the initiative has strengthened the connection between the government and citizens. He assessed department-wise initiatives and their outcomes to date. Various departments submitted reports detailing activities from the district to village levels as part of the programme.

Commendation and Directives for Officials

Revanth Reddy commended departments that actively participated in the 99-day action plan. He reiterated earlier instructions for senior officials, from principal secretaries to district collectors, to conduct monthly field visits. The Chief Secretary was directed to identify officials and district collectors who failed to conduct these visits and to seek explanations, warning that disciplinary action would be taken against non-compliant officials.

Publicity and Feedback Mechanism

The Chief Minister noted that some departments had not adequately highlighted initiatives under the programme. He ordered all departments to publicise their work. Officials must record feedback from public representatives and citizens during various programmes and ensure that issues raised in villages are addressed by the respective departments. All development works, foundation stones, and assets created over the past three months should be documented.

Focus on Infrastructure and Technology

Revanth Reddy instructed Panchayat Raj officials to immediately list villages lacking gram panchayat buildings and formulate an action plan for constructing new ones. The meeting also reviewed installation of solar power plants on school buildings, implementation of facial recognition systems in education and healthcare sectors, and attendance monitoring for employees across schools, colleges, PHCs, and major hospitals like Osmania and Gandhi.

District-Level Reviews and Special Officers

The Chief Minister directed district-wise reviews of the Praja Palana programme. A senior IAS officer will be appointed as a special officer for each district, who, in coordination with the district collector, will review special programmes conducted over 99 days, government-led development works, and public feedback on various schemes.

Dashboard for Transparency

Officials were instructed to release district-wise progress reports and compile details of government schemes, beneficiary lists, and development works at district, constituency, mandal, and village levels. All information should be made available on a dashboard.
