The Congress party has launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, labeling him the "epitome of incompetence" and demanding his resignation on moral grounds. In a strongly worded statement, Congress leaders urged the Prime Minister to follow 'rajdharma'—the duty of a ruler—and step down from his position.
Congress Accuses PM of Governance Failures
The opposition party cited a series of governance failures, including economic slowdown, rising unemployment, and handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, as evidence of the Prime Minister's incompetence. Congress spokesperson said, "The nation has suffered enough under his leadership. It is time for him to respect the principles of rajdharma and resign."
Demand for Accountability
The Congress party has been consistently demanding accountability from the government on various issues. They argue that the Prime Minister has failed to deliver on key promises and has mismanaged the country's affairs. The statement further read, "A leader who cannot ensure the well-being of his people has no right to hold office."
Political analysts believe this move is part of Congress's strategy to corner the government ahead of upcoming elections. However, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) dismissed the allegations, calling them baseless and politically motivated.
The demand for resignation comes amidst growing criticism of the government's handling of the economy and public health. With inflation and unemployment at high levels, opposition parties have intensified their attacks on the Prime Minister.
