Congress Rally in Punjab Attracts Massive Crowd to Support MGNREGA

Thousands of people filled the venue in Guru Harsahai, Bathinda, on Monday for the Congress party's final 'MGNREGA Bachao Sangram' rally in Punjab. State leaders presented a united front at this significant event.

Key Leaders Unite for the Cause

Several prominent Congress figures attended the rally organized by party leader Ravinder Amla. The list included Congress Punjab in-charge Bhupesh Baghel, Punjab Congress president Amrinder Singh Raja Warring, and leader of opposition Partap Singh Bajwa. Former Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi also joined the gathering. Other attendees were AICC secretary Ravinder Dalvi, MP Sher Singh Ghubaya, and former ministers Bharat Bhushan Ashu and Rana Gurjeet Singh.

Strong Statements from Congress Leaders

Bhupesh Baghel addressed the enthusiastic crowd during the rally. He declared that winds of change had already begun blowing across Punjab. Baghel pointed to the large gathering as evidence that the people of Punjab had made their voices heard well before the upcoming elections.

The former Chief Minister made serious allegations against the BJP government. He claimed the administration held a deep aversion toward dalits and poor citizens. According to Baghel, the government only wanted to assist a select group of industrialists and capitalists.

Amrinder Singh Raja Warring delivered a firm commitment regarding MGNREGA. He asserted that the Congress party would not allow the scheme to be scrapped under any circumstances. Warring stated the Congress would force the Modi government to restore MGNREGA completely. He emphasized that this program ensured livelihoods for crores of poor people across India.

Warring issued a stark warning about the potential consequences of removing MGNREGA. He predicted that scrapping the scheme would lead to widespread chaos and anarchy throughout the country.

Charanjit Singh Channi added his voice to the criticism of the government's approach. He described MGNREGA as a pro-poor and pro-dalit law that protected marginalized sections of society. Channi argued that by attempting to scrap such legislation, the BJP government reaffirmed its hostility and animosity toward these vulnerable groups.

The rally demonstrated strong public support for preserving MGNREGA as thousands gathered to hear these messages. Congress leaders used the platform to rally opposition against any changes to the employment guarantee scheme.
