CPIM Demands NTA Scrapping, Pradhan's Resignation

The Communist Party of India (Marxist) has demanded the immediate scrapping of the National Testing Agency (NTA) and the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The party alleged that the NTA has been plagued by widespread irregularities and mismanagement, compromising the integrity of entrance examinations across the country.

CPIM's Strong Stand

In a statement issued by the party's central committee, the CPIM accused the NTA of failing to conduct examinations fairly. It pointed to multiple instances of paper leaks, technical glitches, and administrative lapses that have caused distress among students. The party asserted that the NTA has become a tool for privatizing education and undermining public sector institutions.

Demand for Accountability

The CPIM specifically called for the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan, holding him responsible for the NTA's failures. The party argued that the minister has failed to ensure transparency and accountability in the examination process. It also urged the government to restore the pre-NTA system of multiple examination bodies to ensure better oversight.

Political analysts view this as a significant move by the CPIM to corner the government on education policy ahead of upcoming elections. The demand is expected to gain traction among student groups and opposition parties.
