Delhi Chief Minister Reassures Public on LPG Availability

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta addressed residents of the capital on Saturday, delivering a firm message that the supply of domestic and commercial LPG in Delhi remains stable, adequate, and fully under control. She explicitly stated that there is no shortage of LPG or any other fuel, urging citizens not to be misled by baseless rumors circulating in the city.

Data Shows Efficient Supply Chain Operations

Providing concrete evidence to support her claims, Gupta highlighted recent operational data. On April 3, approximately 1.1 lakh LPG bookings were recorded across Delhi. In response, the three major oil marketing companies collectively delivered 1.2 lakh cylinders to consumers. This surplus delivery clearly indicates that pending demand is being efficiently cleared and that the supply chain is functioning without any significant disruption.

The average delivery time for domestic LPG cylinders in Delhi has now been reduced to just 4.3 days, demonstrating improved logistical efficiency. The chief minister emphasized that these figures reflect a robust system capable of meeting the capital's fuel needs.

Government Crackdown on Illegal Activities

To combat black marketing and hoarding, the government has established a dedicated control room with contact numbers 011-23379836 and 8383824659. This facility is actively receiving and acting upon complaints from the public.

With credible and verified inputs, several cases have been referred to the Delhi Police control room, leading to immediate enforcement actions. Police teams have conducted 22 targeted raids across multiple locations in the city. During one notable operation in North Rohini, authorities registered an FIR and seized six illegally stored LPG cylinders.

"The government remains vigilant and will continue to take stringent action against any unlawful activity," Gupta stated. "The administration is maintaining constant oversight to ensure uninterrupted LPG supply and strict enforcement against any violations."

Public Advisory and Call for Restraint

Chief Minister Gupta called for calm and restraint among residents, advising them not to crowd gas agencies or LPG godowns unnecessarily. She explained that once a cylinder is booked through proper channels, it will be delivered directly to homes within the stipulated timeframe.

"Visiting distribution centres is unnecessary and only adds to the inconvenience for everyone involved," Gupta added, encouraging people to trust the established delivery system.

The government's multi-pronged approach combines supply assurance, operational transparency, and strict law enforcement to maintain fuel security in the capital.
