The Delhi unit of the Congress party commenced the final two-day round of its "National Talent Hunt" programme on Saturday, with Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) president Devender Yadav inaugurating the initiative at Rajiv Bhavan. The programme is designed to identify and groom talented party workers for key roles such as spokespersons, research coordinators, and publicity coordinators.
Inauguration and Objectives
Devender Yadav, while addressing the inaugural session, highlighted that the initiative was launched under the guidance of Congress leaders Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi. The primary objective is to strengthen the party's communication network at the grassroots, state, and national levels. Yadav emphasized that the talent hunt, which began in Delhi on March 17, encourages participants to engage with national issues and understand Congress ideology.
Selection Process and Opportunities
Candidates selected through this rigorous process will have the opportunity to serve as spokespersons, research coordinators, and publicity coordinators within the party organization. The programme reflects the party's commitment to transparency, inclusiveness, and merit-based participation. Experienced Congress workers and aspiring candidates have been given equal opportunities to contribute ideas and raise public concerns.
Convener's Remarks
Anil Bhardwaj, Delhi Congress organizational general secretary and National Talent Hunt convener, stated that the initiative offers talented workers a direct pathway to become the voice of the Congress. He added that candidates shortlisted during the regional phase have been invited for the final round of assessment.
Evaluation and Final List
A jury of experienced experts will evaluate the candidates before preparing the final list of selected spokespersons, research coordinators, and publicity coordinators. The programme is expected to bolster the party's outreach and communication efforts across various levels.
