In a series of alarming incidents, Delhi was struck by multiple fires on Sunday, with at least four people sustaining injuries in one case. The most severe event occurred in the Bhajanpura area of North East Delhi, where a blaze broke out in parked two-wheelers, forcing residents to leap from the first floor to safety.
Bhajanpura House Fire: Four Injured in Early Morning Blaze
According to the Delhi Fire Services, a distress call was received at 2 am regarding a fire in four two-wheelers parked in the ground-floor parking lot of a residential house in Bhajanpura. The flames quickly escalated, prompting four individuals to jump from the first floor in a desperate bid to escape. All four were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, while others trapped in the house were successfully rescued by firefighters.
Officials deployed 11 fire tenders to the scene, and through concerted efforts, the blaze was brought under control by 3:50 am. The cause of the fire is under investigation, with authorities focusing on potential electrical faults or other hazards in the parking area.
Separate Blazes at Bawana Factory and Hard Rock Cafe
In a separate incident earlier, a fire erupted at a factory located in Sector 2 of the Bawana Industrial Area. Upon receiving the alert, the Delhi Fire Department swiftly responded by dispatching 17 fire tenders to the spot. Firefighting operations were conducted to extinguish the flames and prevent the fire from spreading to adjacent units within the industrial cluster. No injuries or casualties have been reported from this incident, thanks to the prompt action of emergency services.
Additionally, a fire broke out at the Hard Rock Cafe in Connaught Place, adding to the day's emergencies. Officials stated that a call was received at 12:31 pm, leading to the immediate deployment of four fire tenders. The fire originated in the restaurant's chimney and was brought under control within minutes, by around 12:50 pm. Authorities confirmed that no casualties or injuries occurred, attributing the containment to timely intervention that prevented the blaze from spreading to nearby structures in the bustling Connaught Place area.

The Delhi Fire Department demonstrated efficiency across all three incidents, with a total of 32 fire tenders mobilized throughout the day. Officials emphasized the importance of fire safety protocols in residential, industrial, and commercial settings.
