Gurgaon: Residents can schedule appointments with booth-level officers (BLOs) through the ECINET mobile application for assistance with voter registration and other electoral services during the ongoing special intensive revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
The application allows voters to seek guidance from BLOs on enrolment, corrections and other electoral matters. Officials said the app is expected to be particularly useful for working professionals, enabling them to stay updated on the SIR process and interact with BLOs without needing to be present during field visits.
Voters have also been advised to upload their latest photographs through the app to help maintain accurate and updated electoral records. The platform additionally enables residents to share feedback on their interactions with BLOs, which officials said would help improve voter services and the electoral roll revision process.
Training Programme for SIR-2026
Meanwhile, the election authorities are conducting a training programme for the successful conduct of the SIR-2026 campaign. A total of 435 BLOs and 44 supervisors participated in the session held on Thursday. The sessions focus on ensuring that the revision process is conducted in a transparent, accurate and efficient manner, officials said. During the training, BLOs were briefed on the door-to-door survey process, follow-up visits in cases where houses are found locked, Aadhaar-related guidelines and document verification procedures.
Enumeration Phase and Digital Process
Officials said the enumeration phase will be carried out from June 15 to July 14, during which BLOs will conduct door-to-door visits to distribute and collect QR code-based enumeration forms. The entire exercise will be conducted digitally through the BLO App.
Under the revision drive, authorities will verify the names of relocated, absent and deceased voters, identify duplicate registrations and remove the names of ineligible persons from the electoral rolls.
Publication of Draft and Final Voter Lists
Officials said the draft electoral roll will be published on July 21, following which claims and objections will be invited. The final voter list is scheduled to be published on Sept 22.
