In Madikeri, the district headquarters, a solemn ceremony was held at the Field Marshal Cariappa Statue Circle. The event featured a march past by students from multiple schools, NCC cadets, and ex-servicemen, who gathered to pay their respects. A separate ceremony took place at 'Roshanara', the historic house of Field Marshal Cariappa in Madikeri city. His son, Air Marshal Nanda Cariappa (retired), led the floral tributes and shared heartfelt remarks. In his address, Air Marshal Nanda Cariappa also touched upon contemporary issues, noting the increasing influence of artificial intelligence.
