Incident Details

The fire was reported at around 2:15 pm at an apartment complex near Muhana Mandi. Authorities stated that the blaze originated in a flat on the sixth floor and quickly intensified, with thick smoke spreading throughout the building. Police and fire department teams promptly arrived at the scene and initiated a rescue operation, evacuating residents who were trapped between the second and sixth floors.

Rescue Operation

During the evacuation, a man collapsed near the staircase after inhaling smoke. Police personnel carried him to safety, and he regained consciousness after approximately 10 minutes. He was subsequently taken to a hospital for first aid and is reported to be in stable condition.

Damage and Response

The fire caused damage to the building's electrical wiring, leading authorities to cut off the power supply as a precautionary measure. A fire tender was deployed and managed to bring the blaze under control within about 20 minutes. One flat was completely gutted in the incident, while two adjoining flats sustained partial damage.

An investigation is currently underway to determine the exact cause of the fire. No casualties have been reported, and the timely response of emergency services prevented further harm.
