Margao: Dress Code Enforced at Partagali Mutt

The Shree Samsthan Gokarn Partagali Jeevottam Mutt at Partagal has begun enforcing a dress code for all visitors in a bid to preserve the sanctity of the religious institution. While the code was previously applicable only to community members, mutt sources confirmed it has now been extended to cover visitors as well.

New Dress Norms

Under the new norms, men are required to wear a white dhoti or lungi, while women must dress in a sari or salwar kameez. Jeans, shorts, t-shirts, and coloured lungis or dhotis will be treated as violations. Most devasthans affiliated to the mutt have already implemented the dress code, sources added.
