Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has asserted that the recent mandate in the state assembly elections is a clear endorsement of the government's governance and policies. Addressing a press conference in Shimla on Monday, Sukhu said the people have reposed their faith in the Congress party's vision for development and welfare.
CM Highlights Achievements
Sukhu elaborated on various initiatives undertaken by his government, including the implementation of the Old Pension Scheme, free electricity up to 125 units, and the start of the Rajiv Gandhi Start-up Yojana. He emphasized that these measures have directly benefited the common people, leading to the electoral success.
Opposition Criticism Dismissed
The Chief Minister dismissed allegations of corruption and mismanagement leveled by the opposition, stating that such claims are baseless and aimed at misleading the public. He challenged the opposition to provide evidence of any wrongdoing within his administration.
Sukhu also highlighted the government's focus on infrastructure development, particularly in rural areas, and its commitment to transparent governance. He assured that the Congress party will continue to work for the welfare of all sections of society.
Regarding the upcoming budget session, Sukhu indicated that the government would present a people-friendly budget, with special attention to agriculture, education, and healthcare. He called upon all stakeholders to cooperate in the state's progress.
