Vasco: Hundreds of people paid their final respects to the three siblings who drowned in the Dudhsagar river near Metawada in Collem, Dharbandora, on Saturday.
Final Rites Performed
The bodies of Hiranna Madar and twins Ramanna Madar and Laxman Madar were brought to their home near the Santoshi Mata temple at around 11am on Sunday. Vasco MLA Krishna Salkar was among those who paid his respects. The bodies were later taken to the Khariwada Hindu crematorium for the last rites.
Another Victim's Body to Arrive
The body of Vijay Sagili, who also drowned, will be brought to his residence at New Vaddem on Monday morning. His final rites will be held later in the afternoon at the St Andrew’s Church cemetery in Vasco.
