IAF Rafale Jets to Join Multi-Nation Exercise Pitch Black in Australia
IAF Rafales Set for Multi-Nation Oz Drill in July

The Indian Air Force's Rafale jets are set to participate in a multi-nation exercise in Australia next month. The exercise, named 'Pitch Black', will be conducted from July 20 to August 7, as announced by the Australian Defence Ministry. This event aims to strengthen regional and global interoperability among participating nations.

Extensive Participation

A total of 19 countries, excluding Australia, will join the exercise with nearly 100 aircraft. Military personnel from India, the United States, Japan, Brunei, Canada, Fiji, Finland, France, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, the Republic of Korea, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, and the United Kingdom will also take part.

Exercise Scope

The Royal Australian Air Force described Pitch Black as its biggest international exercise, featuring complex, combat-like scenarios across one of the largest military training areas in the world. The drill is designed to enhance cooperation and readiness among allied air forces.
