In a fiery address at a rally in Hansi, Haryana, Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) national president Ajay Singh Chautala launched a scathing critique of the Central government, invoking the historic legacy of Jayaprakash Narayan's mass movement. Speaking on his birthday, Chautala urged citizens to unite against those in power, alleging that democratic institutions across India are increasingly facing undue pressure and scrutiny.
Call for Broad Political Mobilization Inspired by Regional Upheavals
Chautala drew direct parallels with recent political transformations in neighboring nations, emphasizing the need for similar grassroots movements within India. "Just as governments were forcibly ousted in countries like Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Nepal, these individuals must also be dragged out and removed from their positions," he declared, rallying party workers for a widespread political mobilization.
He further accused the ruling establishment of stifling opposition voices in Parliament, claiming adequate space is not provided to raise critical issues. "Regional parties must coalesce to amplify the voices of farmers and the working class," Chautala asserted, highlighting the necessity for a united front to challenge the current administration.

The JJP chief referenced specific incidents to bolster his claims, including the no-confidence motion against the Lok Sabha Speaker and ongoing concerns regarding the functioning of the Chief Election Commissioner.
