Jammu and Kashmir Minister for Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare, and Education, Sakeena Itoo, has reiterated the government's dedication to ensuring merit-based job opportunities for the youth of the Union Territory. Speaking at a function, she emphasized that the administration is committed to a transparent and fair recruitment process, free from any favoritism or corruption.
Government's Vision for Youth Employment
The minister highlighted that the current government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, is focused on creating an environment where young people can secure jobs based on their qualifications and abilities. She stated that several initiatives have been launched to streamline recruitment procedures and ensure that deserving candidates get their due.
Transparency in Recruitment
Sakeena Itoo pointed out that the government has implemented strict measures to eliminate any irregularities in the hiring process. She assured that all recruitments would be conducted through a centralized system, with clear criteria and impartial evaluations. This, she believes, will boost the confidence of the youth in the system and encourage them to compete fairly.
Skill Development Programs
In addition to job creation, the minister emphasized the importance of skill development. She announced that the government is working on various training programs to enhance the employability of young people, aligning their skills with market demands. These programs aim to prepare the youth for both government and private sector opportunities.
Addressing Unemployment
Unemployment has been a major concern in Jammu and Kashmir, and the government is taking concrete steps to address it. Sakeena Itoo mentioned that special attention is being given to economically weaker sections and remote areas to ensure inclusive growth. She called upon the youth to take advantage of these opportunities and contribute to the region's development.
The minister's remarks come at a time when the administration is facing scrutiny over job creation. However, she expressed confidence that the government's policies would yield positive results and lead to a significant reduction in unemployment rates. She urged all stakeholders to support these efforts and work together for a prosperous future.
