Imran, a former MP from the ruling party in West Bengal, has been in the news recently for his controversial statements and alleged proximity to certain radical elements. However, he has denied all allegations, calling them politically motivated.

The letter has sparked a debate within political circles, with some supporting Ghosh's demand for a probe while others view it as an internal party matter. The External Affairs Ministry is yet to respond formally to the request.
