Kanpur: Man Crushed by Speeding Dumper at Petrol Pump

A 32-year-old man was crushed to death by a speeding dumper outside a petrol pump near Hadaha village in Bidhnu, Kanpur, on Tuesday morning. The deceased, identified as Ramnaresh, worked as a construction worker at the Ring Road construction plant near Ramaipur and was returning home after completing his night shift.

According to reports, Ramnaresh had stopped at the petrol pump to refuel his bike. As he was exiting the fuel station, a speeding dumper coming from the direction of Ghatampur ran over him and fled the scene.

Following the incident, family members and a crowd of villagers gathered at the spot and blocked the highway in protest. The situation de-escalated after police assured the crowd that the truck driver would be arrested and compensation would be provided.

Bidhnu police station in-charge Tejbahadur Singh stated that the body has been sent for post-mortem examination and a case will be registered based on a written complaint. A search for the accused driver is underway.
