A tragic road accident in Kumarsain, Shimla, claimed the life of a 28-year-old man on Friday night. The victim, identified as Kavish Chauhan, lost control of his vehicle, causing it to veer off the road and plunge into a garden above a house in Virgarh village.
Details of the Incident
The accident occurred around 9:45 pm when Chauhan, the sole occupant of the car, was driving through the area. The car skidded off the road and fell into a garden belonging to a nearby house. Local residents rushed to the scene upon hearing the crash and immediately alerted the police. Despite their efforts to rescue the injured man, Chauhan succumbed to his injuries on the spot.
Police Response and Investigation
A police team arrived at the scene and recovered the body from underneath the vehicle. The body was taken to a local hospital, where a post-mortem was conducted before it was handed over to his relatives. Shimla Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Gaurav Singh, confirmed the incident and stated that a case has been registered under Sections 281 and 106(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023. An investigation is ongoing to determine the exact cause of the accident.
The deceased, Kavish Chauhan, was the son of Jagdish Chauhan and a resident of Shawat village in Kumarsain. The tragic incident has left the local community in mourning.
