A 55-year-old man died after falling from the terrace of a 15-storey tower at the Sunrise Point complex near New Town Akanksha More on Tuesday around 6.30 pm. The deceased has been identified as Deepak Hirawat, a resident of the 10th floor at Saffron 4 tower.
Background of the Incident
According to sources, Hirawat had been living in the apartment for the past 14 years with his wife, brother, and other family members. The incident occurred in the evening when residents heard a loud thud and later discovered the body.
Health Struggles
Residents of the complex mentioned that Hirawat had been suffering from multiple health issues since recovering from Covid-19. He was also battling depression, which may have contributed to the tragic incident. Authorities are investigating the matter, and no foul play is suspected at this stage.
