PM Modi's Historic Achievement

Prime Minister Narendra Modi achieved this milestone by completing 12 years at the helm of the central government, marking 4,399 days in office. This tenure has seen the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) emerge as the dominant force in Indian politics, expanding its reach to new regions and garnering support from diverse communities. Modi now holds the record for the longest continuously serving elected premier, surpassing the tenure of India's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, who served from 1947 until his death in 1964. Indira Gandhi, India's first woman Prime Minister, served for nearly 16 years but across two non-consecutive stints.

The achievement underscores the sustained public trust in Modi's leadership and his government's policies over the past decade.
