Shimla: Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Jagat Prakash Nadda, on Friday stated that the Narendra Modi-led central government had provided unprecedented impetus to Himachal Pradesh's development through major investments in infrastructure, healthcare, education, and public welfare.
Addressing the Intellectuals' Conference
Addressing an 'Intellectuals' Conference' organized in Shimla as part of the BJP's campaign – 12 Years of Trust, Development and Public Welfare – Nadda highlighted several flagship projects and schemes that had contributed to the hill state's progress.
Key Projects and Schemes
He said institutions such as AIIMS Bilaspur, the establishment of new medical colleges, expansion of the national highway network, and various welfare initiatives had significantly improved the quality of life.
Nadda further stated that central schemes, including the Jal Jeevan Mission, Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, had brought tangible benefits to lakhs of families across the country by ensuring access to clean drinking water, clean cooking fuel, and housing facilities.
Broader Achievements of the Modi Government
Referring to the broader achievements of the Modi government over the last 12 years, he said India had witnessed remarkable progress in infrastructure, healthcare, defense, and technology. He also highlighted landmark decisions such as the abrogation of Article 370, the construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, the ban on triple talaq, and the implementation of the Citizenship Amendment Act.
Vision for a Developed India
Nadda further said India was emerging as a confident and strong nation under Modi's leadership, with a vision of becoming a developed country by 2047.
